The Downbeat
The Downbeat
A new jazz musical by the award-winning team that created WHEN JAZZ HAD THE BLUES. Written by Carole Eglash-Kosoff, Produced by Leigh Fortier, Music and Direction by Rahn Coleman, Choreography by Cassie Crump.

A talented cast of actors, musicians, and singers perform a wide range of songs, including several new ones never heard before…all with a jazz motif. It is 1968 at an old, not quite seedy, Manhattan nightclub, THE DOWNBEAT. Jazz has lost some of its magic, Civil rights and the Vietnam war are ablaze, both Martin Luther King and Robert Kennedy have been assassinated. Join us for a sneak peak of this new show at a music-filled workshop/performance.
